Fr. Suresh Babu has done a great service in presenting the thoughts of St. Francis de Sales in a progressive manner. His book, "A Journey with St. Francis de Sales" guides a Christian from the initial stages of spiritual life to the heights of contemplation. During his term as novice master of the MSFS novices in Salesianum, Fr. Suresh engaged in long years of study, reflection, teaching, and prayer in discovering these treasures. He has arranged the text from the Introduction to the Devout Life and the Treatise on Love of God in such a way that one can cover the whole. He has patiently and firmly classified those principles and presents to us, with the examples, images, and metaphors used by St. Francis de Sales, how to nourish our daily life of prayer and contemplation for a devout life.
