Holiness & Wholeness

Studies in Salesian Spirituality

“HOLINESS AND WHOLENESS” contains the papers presented during the Salesian Seminar 1990, conducted by the Indian Institute of Spirituality, Bangalore. The authors make an in-depth study on the “Introduction to the Devout Life”. The work highlights the birth of the “Introduction” in a historical perspective and discusses various topics pertaining to holiness and wholeness according to St. Francis de Sales: how one can attain holiness through prayer, meditation and the reception of the sacraments and how it is possible to live in the midst of the world without being tainted by worldliness. Efforts have been made also to present the Salesian spirituality in the Indian context.
