This paper stresses the need of a Salesian Anthropological view on human being that the human being is specially created in the world as the crown of all creation. It would mean that human being must be grateful to God in pleasing Him in his way of life in line with the plan of God.

Chapter one deals with the common understanding on the concept of the term ‘human being.’ It contains biblical understanding of human being and also the other religions too. It also provides philosophical, psychological and theological understanding on human being.

In the chapter two, Salesian understanding on human being is being explained from the writings of St Francis de Sales and from his biography. His life exemplifies how a human being must live in this world. His main qualities and great virtues are pointed out very clearly with the proper examples from his life. And also ways and means given by St Francis de Sales are thrown to the human being to lead a better life.

Chapter three points the challenges and the problems that human beings face today in this world. Human being finds difficult to handle the hardest situations in the life. This chapter explains all Salesian responses, remedies and solutions for these problems. With these instructions and guiding principles for this topic ‘human being,’ let us enter into the chapters that make us to understand the theme.
